What started as a fervent obsession for tearing through every book on the shelf of my childhood bedroom as a kid has transformed into an equally passionate infatuation with writing stories myself. We all have a story to tell, but not all of us have the voices to tell them ourselves. It is my desire to use my writing as a medium through which others' stories can be told.
A proud graduate of Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, IL, I was an avid member of my high school theater program. My on-stage experiences affirmed my pre-existing adoration of story-telling; I had just found another means through which I could do so. When I left high school, I knew that my love of writing, public speaking and simply engaging in conversation with others would lead me on the path to broadcast journalism.
Now an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University and reporter for the acclaimed newspaper The Lantern, I am overjoyed to be receiving such opportunities to develop my journalistic skills and advance as a reporter. I have had the pleasure of working with amazing writers—peers and professors alike—who have aided in shaping me into the writer I am today. I look forward to further expanding my abilities throughout the rest of my time at Ohio State and beyond.
